How do I generate the most views with my MechSpot uploads?
Here are some tips that seem to help our most successful uploaders:- Make them informative, meaningful, and topical. The highest rated uploads are featured on the homepage and get the most views.
- Take advantage of the Grouping feature. Click here to view a video detailing the Grouping feature.
- Interconnect assets that are all related to one topic, for example:
- Present a series of video lessons.
- Show multiple phases or perspectives of a project.
- Present a brochure, a white paper and a video that all speak to the same technology, product, or project etc.
- Link to your uploads from other websites, blogs, forums, your website, or wherever.
- Upload quality material that lots of people want.
- Write clear descriptions, incorporating all keywords associated with your upload that someone might search for.
- Don’t upload minor variations of a theme - low quality uploads clog the system, don’t result in visitors to your page, and may be rejected by MechSpot Admin.
- Categorize correctly. Do not post material in more than one category.
- Don’t post something that is inappropriate, infringes copyright, or is spam. This could lead to a suspension of your account.
